Zambia Settles £2.7 million Refund To UK

ZAMBIA has refunded the United Kingdom’s Department for International Development (DfID) £2.7 million which had been donated for the social cash transfer programme.

The refund was made as demanded by the donor agency.

Special Assistant to the President for Press and Public Relations, Amos Chanda, said Government returned the funds to DfID on Monday this week.

Mr Chanda was speaking yesterday when he and Chief Government Spokesperson Dora Siliya hosted a media conference.
