LAZ Calls for Investigation Into ZIALE Poor Pass Rate

The Law Association Of Zambia (LAZ) has bemoaned the continued poor passing rate of law graduates at the Zambia Institute of Advanced Legal Education (ZIALE).

Eddie MwitwaLAZ president Eddie Mwitwa has since called for an investigation to determine as to why a lot of students failed in civil procedure, a course that only saw 9 students passing.

Mr. Mwitwa has told Q-News in an interview that the expectation of LAZ was that the results for the recent exams would improve following performance recorded in April this year which saw about 312 lawyers admitted to the bar.

He is however hopeful that whatever led to the low pass rate will be resolved before the current intake sits for their final exams.

Recent released ZIALE results shows that out of the 378 who sat for the exams, only 4 passed the bar exams.
