LUSAKA, 26TH OCTOBER 2018.

Health Minister Hon Dr Chitalu Chilufya yesterday visited donor and recipient of the first successful kidney transplant.

Both the Donor and recipient are currently still admitted to UTH and are in stable condition and recuperating.

A highly specialised team of health workers lead by surgeon Dr Michael Mbambiko on Wednesday 24th October 2018 had carried out the first ever kidney transplant at the University Teaching Hospital.

Hon Dr Chitalu Chilufya also thanked Republican President Edgar Chagwa Lungu for his indubitable support to transformational agenda the PF government has Embarked on in the health sector.
