His Royal Highness Senior Chief Mwamba, Kafyama II, of the Bemba speaking people is dead.

HRH died on Sunday 4th November, 2018 in India where he was evacuated for specialist treatment. His body is expected to arrive in Kasama tomorrow Wednesday 7th November, 2018.

In line with Bemba traditions applicable to a royal of his status, post mortem rituals will go on until next year after the harvest, while burial will take place mid next year.
