Opposition People’s Alliance for Change president, Andyford Banda has expressed concern over how public resources are being misappropriated in the name of fostering development.

Mr. Banda says this is being done by inflating the cost of projects some of the projects and procurement.

He says the construction of the Michael Chilufya Sata Toll Plaza at over US$4 million is an affirmation that the PF is too extravagant and irresponsible.

Mr. Banda adds the construction of some public infrastructure at very high cost further shows that the PF is not a pro-poor government as it claims in its manifestos.
