UPND Central Province chairman Albert Chifita says Zambians are in debt bondage. And Chifita says the UPND under the leadership of Hakainde Hichilema is giving the PF leadership sleepless nights. Speaking during the UPND card renewal exercise in Kapiri Mposhi, Chifita said Zambians were in debt bondage owing to reckless borrowing by the Patriotic Front government. Chifita urged Zambians to liberate themselves during the 2021 general elections.

“The PF government under President Edgar Lungu has been contracting debt at an alarming rate. As a result, Zambians are in debt bondage. Zambians are in debt bondage owing to reckless borrowing by the Patriotic Front government,” Chifita said.

“And at the moment the country’s economy is in a mess. And it is only the UPND and Hakainde Hichilema that can change the economy of this country. That is why we are telling the Zambian people to liberate themselves in 2021 by voting for the UPND.”

And Chifita said the UPND under Hichilema was giving the PF leadership sleepless nights. He said the PF leadership was talking about Hichilema because the opposition leader had proved that he was a force to reckon with on the Zambian political front. Chifita also accused the PF government of creating employment opportunities for Chinese at the expense of Zambians.

He urged the PF to create decent jobs for Zambians as opposed to creating employment opportunities for the Chinese by awarding them government contracts. And UPND Central Province secretary Davy Siyamuzulu charged that the Patriotic Front stole votes from the UPND in 2016. Siyamuzulu said that the PF would not manage to steal votes from the UPND in 2021 general elections.

He urged UPND members to remain focussed and united. Speaking at the same event, UPND Kapiri Mposhi district chairman Hamwaanja Muloba lamented that small scale farmers that supplied maize to the Food Reserve Agency have not been paid their money.

Muloba said the Food Reserve Agency was failing to pay farmers on time owing to the Patriotic Front’s poor agricultural policy.
