Nkana have set a group stage target for the legendary side ahead of the CAF Champions League which kicks off next week.
Nkana have been drawn against Mozambican side UD Songo in the preliminary round with either Simba Sport or Mbabane Swallows waiting in the first round.
“First, we’ve to break into the group stage, we need to win the Mozambican side and whatever team we meet after so that we make it into the group stage,” Nkana president Everisto Kabila said.
Team captain Walter Bwalya says they are hoping for a good performance in the Champions League where they are returning after four years.
“We’ve to continue to work hard because we have been pitted against a very good team, we’ve to be focused so that we reach the group stage,” Bwalya said.
