SECRETARY to Cabinet Roland Msiska says Government will save K40.5 billion from the withdrawal of motor vehicle replacement allowance for Cabinet and provincial ministers.
Speaking on Thursday when he featured on Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation (ZNBC) Special Interview, Dr Msiska clarified that there are no salary increments for the ministers as purported by some people.
“The public needs to know that the maintenance and insurance cost of vehicles can be very, very costly,’’ he said.
He said there is need for Zambians to fully understand what Government is trying to achieve through the implementation of these austerity measures.
