A 38-year-old wife of Bulangililo Township has told the local court that her husband, who is a pastor, has an abnormal sexual appetite and he forces her to have sex with him for about 10 times a day.
Mary Mubanga was testifying in a case in which Gideon Kapandu, 52, sued her for divorce on grounds that she has deserted her matrimonial home.
The two got married in 1996 and have six children.
Mubanga testified Bulangililo Local Court that she has opted to leave her husband because he allegedly never gets sexually satisfied.
She charged before the court that her husband raped her and beat her up whenever she complained about his sexual appetite.
“I don’t like the way he has sex with me because he treats me like an animal. My husband forces me to have sex with him at least 10 times a day,” Mubanga said.
She asked the court to divorce them because she is not willing to go back to a man who has an insatiable sexual appetite.
In his statement, Kapandu told the court that his left wife home because he confronted her about an affair she was having with another man whom he found her kissing.
He said he has tried to engage his wife’s family over the issue but that she had refused to go back home.
Kapandu told the court that his wife is now living alone in Luanshya, which he finds strange because she does not work.
He asked the court to divorce them because he believes that his wife has another man she is now interested in.
And Bulangililo Senior Local Court magistrate Kambole Nyoni adjourned the case to a later date.
