PRESIDENT Edgar Lungu is a very dangerous hypocrite, says Chirundu UPND member of parliament Douglas Syakalima.
And Syakalima says the devil, not his God, made the PF leader Lungu Head of State.

In an interview, Syakalima said Zambia was undergoing a lot of bad phases because of President Lungu’s putting of God’s name into vain.

“He [President Lungu] says Zambians must first become Christians if they want to succeed him, what type of a hypocrite is this? At first I wanted to laugh it as a joke but I realised that this one is a very dangerous hypocrite. I don’t realise how those words come out of his mouth because he does not behave Christian, he doesn’t walk Christian, he doesn’t smile Christian, so how can he be telling people who are already Christians that they should be Christians first?” Syakalima asked.

He said Zambia was in danger because of such type of thinking and talk.

Syakalima added that the PF leadership was full of immorality and evil.

“We are in danger. That is why we have so many bad things that are happening to the country because of such type of thinking and talking…these puts Gods name in vain and God punishes such. That is why we have so many problems in the country. The kwacha is not performing, we are the third hungry nation in the world apart from
Chad and Central African Republic, which are war torn countries,” he said.
“Come to disease, poverty and corruption, we are topping the league table. It is because the ones who are in the driving seat are in fear, they are immoral, and they are even evil. How does he talk about Christianity in a land that he has brought violence in, in a land where there are extra judicial killings? We have not even heard about the inquiry over the young lady who died, who was suffocated to death by his own police at the University of Zambia, because everything the police does they do it in the name of the President. So how can he be careless like this? It’s actually the devil that made him a President not God because my God does not behave like that.”

He indicated that it was not true that all leaders come from God and gave examples of dictators such as Adolf Hitler and Idi Amin whom he said were not God-given leaders.

Syakalima urged Zambians to instead repent and have restitution so that they no longer are not given a bad leader.

He further appealed to Zambians to ignore President Lungu’s bad talk.

“As a nation, we must repent and must have restitution, that is what we require now…there is need for repentance and restitution, otherwise God is not happy with us…let him take his thoughts away from the church, away from the true Christian values and the behaviours of Christians. We are taught in the Bible to love thyself as you love thy neighbour. Not to introduce violence, that is not loving your neighbour…. How can you claim to be a Christian when people are wielding pangas anyhow? A long time ago, it was abominable to carry these things in public. But it is under his nose that this country has seen so many atrocities now coupled with a lot of bad things for our economy,” Syakalima said.

He further wondered how President Lungu could claim to be a Christian when his administration had heavily taxed Zambians.

“Zambians must brace themselves for harder times in 2019, but it is better that we pray to the real God not to the god that he prays to…. I have heard where he is saying that 2021 will be led by Christians, he says he wants people who will come to keep him away from temptations…isn’t it not under his nose that a fire tender costing US$250,000 cost US$1 million each? Is it not under his nose that the Social Cash Transfer was stolen, depriving our poor people of K3 per day? Is it not under his nose that an ambulance of US$54,000 cost US$218,000? Is it not under his nose that 3 million Euros meant for water and sanitation from the Germans was stolen so what is he telling us, hypocrite,” said Syakalima.
