Twelve Grade 12 pupils and a teacher have appeared in the Kapiri Mposhi magistrate court, on charges of examination leakages.
Before Kapiri Mposhi Magistrate Mwila Malipande was Talent Chifunda, aged 20, and others, as well as Haggai Kayuni, a teacher at Kamulobwe School.
The 13 suspects are charged with the offence of unauthorised possession of examination papers or information, contrary to the Examination Council of Zambia -ECZ- Act.
Kayuni is also appearing in court for the offence of disclosure of examination questions.
All the suspects have pleaded not guilty.
Particulars of the offence are that on November 12, 2018, the pupils had in their possession Grade 12 Science paper 2, relating to the content of 2018 Science final examination, without authority.
Kayuni is on unknown dates but between October and November 2018, in Kapiri Mposhi, did disclose examination question papers or information, related to 2018 examinations to some pupils.
Magistrate Malupande has since set January 29, 2019, as date for commencement of trial.
