A man identified as Himbala Hatembo has died in a fatal crash that occurred on Kafue road when a truck hit head on with a Toyota Allion.
Himbala, a Lusaka resident who was driving a Toyota Allion, registration number; unconfirmed reports say that BAG 7111 seemed to have been in a race on Kafue road with an un-identified Mercedes Benz.
The Toyota Allion crashed head on with the oncoming truck and trailer.
This was after the two cars that were racing overtook traffic and the Mercedes Benz saloon car passed but the Toyota Allion failed to beat the on-coming truck and hit it head on.
Following the accident, the couple in the Mercedes Benz returned to the scene but fled after the mob that gathered nearly lynched them.
