The Zambian DNA is elated with the news that the government intends to establish a college of nursing and midwifery in Sesheke to be called Yeta College of Nursing and Midwifery.
It is also gratifying to note that government has demonstrated tacit commitment to develop Sesheke and Western Province in general, for example, the multi million Dollar Cashew Nut and Aqua culture projects as well as the robust infrastructure development rolled out in the province.
However, we regret that the people’s representatives in Western Province are puffed up with partisan attitude and hostile towards government with intention to hinder development.
In view of the foregoing, we urge traditional leaders and indeed all the people in Sesheke and Western Province to choose development by working with government and rally behind the tried and tested able leadership of President Edgar Chagwa Lungu, as he delivers all inclusive development in Western Province and other parts of the country without leaving anyone behind.
