Lungu Says ACC Officers Complained to Him that Kambwili Is Vulgar

CHISHIMBA Kambwili is very vulgar, says President Edgar Lungu.

President Lungu revealed that the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) went to him ‘crying’ that Mr Kambwili was very vulgar when they picked him up for questioning.

“The ACC came to me and said Mr Kambwili was corrupt, I said investigate him. They investigated him and along the way they said he was not cooperating, he is insulting us, you know he is very vulgar, am sorry to say this but you know he is very vulgar,” he said,

The President said this at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport before departure for Sesheke to drum up support for the PF candidate Dean Masule in the parliamentary by-elections slated for Tuesday.

President Lungu announced that he was not going to fire Infrastructure Development and Housing minister, Ronald Chitotela before he proven guilty in the courts of law.

Mr Lungu reiterated that he would not want to lose Mr Chitotela in the same manner he did Mr Kambwili.

He said that calls from some sections of society to have Mr Chitotela fired, should wait for the law to take its course.

“As far as i am concerned Hon Chitotela is innocent until proven guilty, even Chishimba Kambwili is innocent till proven guilty in courts of law. So i don’t want to lose Chitotela in the same manner i lost Kambwili through corruption allegations by the same forces. Up to now they have not come to me.

“I am saying no, but i will give them a leeway to investigate, to arrest and take the culprits to court and i will even fund them for smooth operations,” said President Lungu.
