Zambian DNA condemns in the strongest terms the sickening political violence in Sesheke that is being perpetrated by opposition UPND.

Whilst President Edgar Chagwa Lungu has always publicly condemned political violence in whatever form, the opposition UPND leader has never condemned political violence at any time.
This fact underscores the UPND’s desire and desperation to wrestle power at all cost without regard of the welfare of the people they seek to lead.
It is worth noting that the recent political violence that erupted in Sesheke is perpetrated by the said political party.
However, we advise opposition UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema to emulate President Lungu who has always condemned political violence whenever and wherever it has raised its ugly head.
We appeal to the Zambia Police Service to ruthlessly deal with all perpetrators of political violence regardless of their political status to send a strong signal to would be offenders of the said vice that political violence has no space and place in Zambia.
We also urge the people of Sesheke not to vote for a candidate whose party is bent on fanning chaos and confusion through political violence, and instead rally behind the leadership of President Edgar Lungu by voting for the PF candidate Dean Masule in the 12th February by election.
