Zambian DNA commends President Edgar Lungu for his initiative to monitor the performance of his Ministers and the implementation of Government programmes through ministerial quarterly reports.

President Lungu‘s introduction of ministerial quarterly reports and the cluster of economic diversification and job creation as effective tools for monitoring  the implementation of the Seventh National Development Plan does not only demonstrate his tacit commitment to improve the Zambian people’s welfare ,but also his passion  to accelerate the country’s all-inclusive development agenda.

It’s also gratifying to note that President Lungu is the first Republican President to come up with such an initiative.

More so, the initiative demonstrates that President Lungu is not only a practical leader who has a heart for the people, but also that he’s on top of things.

We are confident that President Lungu is the right captain to steer the country’s all-inclusive transformative and development agenda.

We expect every-right thinking Zambian to support the Head of State as he guides the nation to the country’s desired economic prosperity.

However, since some of the area Members of Parliament (MPs) habitually shun their constituencies once elected, we are of the view that they should also be subjected to a certain mechanism to monitor their performance.
