Economic Association of Zambian President Lubinda Haabazoka says the closure of Prime TV will lead to appreciation of the Kwacha.

Haabazoka says the ‘noise’ that Prime TV had been making was causing capital flight and scaring away investors.

Haabazoka says from the time Prime TV was closed, the Kwacha has started showing signs of recovering.

He praised government for closing the TV station saying TV stations must emulate ZNBC which he says is nationalistic.

He says government should have acted fast on Prime TV and has since urged the IBA not to be intimidated by what he called ‘foreign forces’ but should shut the TV station forever
