Government has received an overwhelming response from Zambians wishing to work as drivers, maids and waitresses in the Gulf Region.

Margaret Mwanakatwe the Finance Minister who is also a Member of the PF Central Committee said the process of sending successful applicants to the gulf region has started.

She said a government to government agreement will be signed to guarantee the safety and welfare of the workers that will be sent to the gulf region.

Mrs. Mwanakatwe said modalities will be put in place to ensure that Zambian ambassadors in the region are constantly in touch with the workers to monitor how they are doing.
