Innolead Consulting, a Botswana firm that empowers organisations with Best practice Project Management and Corporate Strategy services was launched in Zambia at a colourful high profile breakfast meeting held at Radisson Blu Hotel in Lusaka
The monumental event was officiated by Commerce, Trade and Industry Minister, Hon Christopher Yaluma.
High Commissioner of Botswana to Zambia, His Excellency Mr Lebonaamang Mokalake gave his welcoming remarks and introduced InnoLead Consulting to the Zambian market.
Others who spoke at the breakfast meeting were Innolead Group Managing Director, Mr Oabona Kgengwenyane, Country Director, Mr Hillary Zebron, PeopleCert Africa Business Development Manager,Mr Romeo Mabasa, Innolead Executive Director of Operations, Mr Chilipi Mogasha and a local Project Management Expert, Mr Billy Mwape.
Hon Yaluma said the launch of Innolead in Zambia is a milestone in economic achievement.
He said Zambian organisations will benefit greatly from the skills to be imparted through training in Project Management by Innolead Consulting.
” …I also want Innolead to help me manage my election campaigns because it is also a project,” Mr Yaluma said in a light moment.
He said Innolead Consulting has been launched in Zambia when the country is experiencing massive infrastructure development.
Innolead Consulting Zambia Country Manager Ishmael Thaga said in an interview that while Zambia and the world at large are undergoing serious development investments, there is a dire need for proper Project Management.
“I want to believe that… you might be aware that Project Management is a serious problem not only in Zambia but the world at large. There is a lot of development activity geared towards achieving Zambia’s Vision 2030 and all these can be achieved through the use of best practice project management to manage the execution of these planned activities,” he said.
Mr Thaga said Innolead Consulting will provide services that will assist organizations develop their Corporate Strategies, setup PMOs and build capacity on Project Management that will consequently contribute to the economic emancipation of the country.

“Innolead Consulting has over the years of its existence assisted various organisations cutting across industries. This includes, Big mining houses, parastatals, government ministries and financial institutions.
Through our training academy which is internationally recognised by bodies such as PMI and Axelos we offer training in Project Management and other courses such as Better Business Cases and Agile,” he said.

And on the success stories the firm has scored since its formation in 2002, Mr Thaga said:”In 2015, we got engaged by the Botswana Government to assist the Ministry of Minerals, Energy and Water Resources to set up their Portfolio Management Office. For us, that was a huge success. Remember this is a ministry that handled multi-million dollar projects. We provided the Ministry with Project Management Experts that assisted with the setting up of the office including process tailoring to suit the environment then built capacity for the entire Project team of the Ministry. Through this engagement, we saw a total revolution in the way projects were handled and the Government of Botswana was happy with the development. Furthermore on our success stories, We have assisted a number of parastatals and government ministries to develop their strategies. Last year, we launched the Ministry of Local Government and Ministry of Finance strategies in Botswana.
