Zambian DNA condemns in the strongest terms the remarks attributed to Archbishop Telesphore Mpundu purporting that the PF Government has legalized theft.

It is also unfortunate that the clergy alleged that there’s a breakdown of rule of law in the country.

Contrary to Mpundu’s allegations, Government under the able leadership of President Edgar Lungu has demonstrated political will to fight corruption.

As for the allegations regarding the breakdown of the rule of law, there is a Government in place that was given the five-year mandate by the people of Zambia to govern, and all Government institutions are functioning normally.

We advise Archbishop Mpundu to tone down as his ranting holds the potential to set the country on fire, and concentrate on issues that unite the nation than that which divides the country.

We are also appealing to the people of Zambia to dismiss Mpundu’s remarks with the contempt they deserve.
