WATCH the space, UPND will dance to my tune because I am a political monster, Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba (GBM) has warned the opposition party. Mr Mwamba said the UPND was already feeling the weight since he left the party. He was reacting to UPND secretary-general Stephen Katuka’s remarks that he was too small to dismantle its structures in the country. Mr Katuka said Mr Mwamba, popularly known as GBM, was daydreaming to threaten to dismantle UPND structures because the opposition party had staunch members who could not easily be bought. Mr Katuka said the party had been built over a long time and it was wishful thinking that people could follow blindly. But the former UPND vice president told the Daily Nation yesterday, the party leadership had been sending emissaries because they know what he was capable of. “As I am dismantling structures in Northern Province, UPND are busy sending whatsapp messages. They will feel my weight now,” he said. Mr Mwamba said the UPND was crying because they were already missing his presence, adding that it would be difficult to find another political tycoon such as him. He said he was a political monster and he would ensure that the opposition political party would never form government any time soon. “My job is to ensure that the structures I formed I move them to PF. And I will not want to give Katuka the prominence he doesn’t deserve. So I want to tell him that watch the space,” Mr Mwamba said. UPND should watch my space this time around because I will use my political experience I have gained to destroy it, he said. “How many structures have I destroyed since I joined PF, how many people have followed me, I think they should ask themselves that if they are genuine politicians,” Mr Mwamba said. He said the UPND leadership was just comforting itself when it knew his capacity in the political arena. “Why did they put me as a running mate? It is because they knew that I would attract people from PF and now I have gone back, I will take my people back. “They should know that right now I have destroyed grassroots structures in Northern Province, constituencies and now I am going in all districts, Mr Mwamba warned.
