As a way  o f preventing her husband from having sex with her, a woman of Mansa blocks him by wearing tight jeans when they go to sleep. . And Moses Kanswa complained before the local court that his wife serves him left-over nshima whenever he demands for a meal.

Kanswa made the complaints when he testified before senior local court magistrate David Mubanga, whom he told that he fails to remove the tight jeans when he wants to make love to his wife. The witness told the court he married a second wife in 2017 and he was ordered to spend one week with each of his wives.

He charged that it was also at that time when her wife, Naomi Bwalya, with whom he has four children, changed her behaviour and started denying him sex. Kanswa said nothing seems to work with his first wife even when it comes to raising their children. He said his wife allows his under-age girls to patronise nightclubs and get home when they want.

He was testifying in a case of contempt of court after he defaulted in paying K1,000 to his first wife as ordered by the court in 2017 when he married his second wife. He told the court that he is a council employee and workers did not get paid for three months, leading to his failure to give his first wife the money.

And Bwalya said her husband spends more time with his second wife despite being ordered to give them equal days. She alleged that her husband always defaults in giving her the money while he gives all the money to his second wife. And in mitigation, Kanswa said if he is sent to prison, his 11 children will suffer.

He said he did not care much about his two wives because they were not related to him and he could remarry any time. In his judgment, magistrate Mubanga urged Kanswa to be fair to both wives. He ordered him to deposit K120 to any commercial bank as fine for defaulting in paying his wife and ordered him to continue paying her K1,000 monthly
