Some women protested half naked as scores of Chililabombwe residents joined miners to demonstrate against Vedanta – the owners of Konkola Copper Mines (KCM) for allegedly failing to run the mine.

The protestors from various townships marched to the Patriotic Front Chililabombwe district office to air their grievances against KCM owners.

The protestors are now calling on government to take over the running of KCM or find another investor.
