Police Attempt To Remove HH From Church In Ndola, Say He Needs Permit to Attend Service

Brutal Police on Sunday morning attempted to throw out opposition UPND supremo Hakainde Hichilema from Catholic mass service in Ndola on premise that he did not have a permit to go to church.

In a statement, the office of the UPND Presidency wrote;

Kindly note that the Police is attempting to throw out the UPND President Hakainde Hichilema from St Joseph Catholic Church here in Ndola, Copperbelt province.

The plain clothes police stormed the Church’s priest office immediately they learnt that Mr Hichilema and his entourage will be congregating from the said church.

The police stated that Mr Hichilema needed to have police permit for him to attend Church a statement that the church did agree with such reasoning.

The police also instructed the Church that the UPND President should not be accorded a chance to interact with his fellow Christians in Church, nor speak on grounds that he has no permit to do so.

The mass has since begun but under strict watch from the police under Copperbelt and Ndola command.
