Zambia doesn’t need charity, it needs leadership. While the aid given to zambia is helpful, the aid given to us is more harmful than helpful.
Aid has helped Zambia to develop in the following areas Corruption, Civil conflicts, Shrinking of Middle class and instilling of a culture of dependency.
Foreign aid has made zambian leaders Lazy to come up with radical decision that can help our country go forward. We need to rethink the form of aid zambia needs.
Incompetence in leadership in zambia is not only the problem of people who occupy positions in government, it is a reflection of the leadership culture.
We have had different leaders with the some results for decades. The power distance that exists between leaders in government and it’s citizens is also reflected in organizations and families.
If youths don’t take ownership and responsibility for our problems and challenges, we run the risk of allowing other nations, organization and institutions to do so on their terms.
