2019 Namibia Region 5 Karate Championship bronze medalist Ian Shamabanse says there is need for the Zambian athletes preparing for the UFAK games to work extra hard.
Speaking to Diamond sports in an interview, Shamabanse adds that there will also be need to have more athletes at the games than the four who went to Namibia.
He says this is to boost morale among the athletes as well as broaden the chances of minting gold.
At the Region 5 Karate Championship in Namibia Zambia came back with a gold and eight bronze medals.
Shamabanse is among the athletes preparing for the next assignment which will be held in Botswana next month.
