3  Nabbed For Stealing KCM Computers

Police in Chingola have arrested three employees of Konkola Copper Mines -KCM- for allegedly stealing computers from the cobalt processing plant valued at 2,200 United States dollars.

Copperbelt Police Commissioner Charity Katanga says the three employees have been charged with theft and remanded in custody.

Mrs. Katanga has revealed that the theft of the two computers happened on Tuesday evening this week.

She has named the three KCM employees as 51-year-old Nephas Sausande 50-year-old Silas Mukupa and 50-year-old Edward Chileshe all, of Chingola.

Mrs. Katanga said the stolen computers have not yet been recovered.

And KCM General Manager for Corporate Affairs Eugene Chungu has confirmed the theft to ZNBC News in a telephone interview.

Mr. Chungu however said the theft of the two control room computers has not affected operations at the mining giant
