Lusaka Traders Shun Markets To Avoid Paying PF Cadres

Street Vendors operating from Lusaka’s Northmead and Cairo Road have confirmed that party cadres collect revenues from them on a daily basis.

This was during an on the spot check by Province Minister Bowman Lusambo and Lusaka Mayor Miles Sampa.

The vendors have also lamented that they are being targeted by Council Police who confiscate their merchandise and subject them to teargas.

Lusaka Mayor Miles Sampa has maintained that street vending is illegal with a pledge to address the issue with Council Police.

And Lusaka Province Minister Bowman Lusambo has pledged to restore sanity.
