NDC on Katuba Poll
Lusaka. 21.06.2019.
The National Democratic Congress NDC party will back the opposition UPND in next months Katuba parliamentary by-election.
The party further wants to parry assertions by its former Secretary General Mwenya Musenge that NDC is fielding a candidate in the said election.
We want to restate and urge the media NOT to quote Mr. Musenge.
Mr. Musenge is at daggers drawn with authorities in the party.
Therefore, he has no authority what’s so ever to comment on any matters pertaining to the NDC.
It is unfortunate that the latter has been issuing uncoordinated statements on the forthcoming parliamentary by election.
Thus, the statement issued by Mr. Musenge in the Daily Nation Newspaper on katuba should be ignored forthwith as it is malicious.
To the Daily Nation News paper, we urge them to seek clarity from bonafide NDC authorities on issues concerning the party.
To our alliance partners, we are more than committed to upholding our working relationship with all parties involved.
We want to restate that we shall work tirelessly with all alliance members to ensure that the Upnd retains katuba.
