A rock burst which happened around 10:30 hrs this morning at 4440 South Underground Level at Mindolo shaft has injured a mining contractor from Tauro Mining Ltd.

The victim is currently admitted at Wusakile Mine Hospital and is in a stable condition and able to communicate.
The rock hit him on the head and neck causing deep cuts and lacerations.
A rock burst is generally a natural phenomena but investigations to possible causes is underway.
