Government says more jobs for Zambians are now being created because of a favorable business environment it has created in the country.

Southern Province Minister Edify Hamukale says the government remains focused on job creation as a means to fight poverty among the vulnerable groups in the country.

The Minister was speaking in Monze when he opened the first ever Choppies store.

Dr. Hamukale has urged local suppliers in Monze to ensure that indirect jobs are created by supplying goods and services to the chain store.

He has also urged the banking and financial institutions to offer loans to youths and women at lower rates so that they can be suppliers to the chain store.

Meanwhile, Dr Hamukale has praised Chief Monze who was among eminent personalities that attended the choppies chains stores launch for showing willingness to work with government.

The tradition leader is And speaking at the same occasion choppies director operations Jyotish Canhiradan said his firm will continue working with government in creating more employment.

He encouraged the people of Monze to safe guard the chain store as it is theirs to use.
