A 30-Year-Old man of Kitwe has narrated before the Kitwe local court how his wife of 17 years storms out of their matrimonial bedroom whenever she receives a call in the night. Appearing before senior local court magistrate Fedrick Ndhlovu was David Mwenya who sued Mercy Kangwa, 28, for divorce on grounds that his wife is promiscuous.

Mwenya narrated before the court that problems in their marriage started in 2015 when his wife started receiving calls in the night. He told the court that whenever his wife’s phone rings, she would storm-out of their bedroom to pick up the call in the sitting room. “My wife always storms-out of our bedroom to pick up a call whenever her phone rings,” Mwenya said. He narrated before the court that his wife is promiscuous that she once admitted to having committed adultery.

Mwenya asked the court to dissolve his marriage from his wife because she proved that has no respect for him. And Kangwa dismissed the claims of storming out of the bed whenever she receives a call and accused her husband of not being financially supportive. Kangwa asked the court not to dissolve her marriage with her husband because she still loves him.

However magistrate Ndhlovu granted the couple a free divorce after the court found that they both contributed to the breakdown of the marriage.
