Zambian DNA is  elated that President Edgar
Lungu has once again extended an olive branch to dialogue
with UPND’s Hakainde Hichilema without conditions.

However, we are shocked that Mr Hichilema has accepted the offer on

condition that the 3 Church Mother Body presides over the

 dialogue process.
It’s also unfortunate that the three Church  mother body, who subscribe

to the UPND’s ill-conceived  agenda for regime
change, have misconstrued President Lungu’s good intention
to dialogue to imply abandoning the National Dialogue Forum (NDF)
resolutions.
We advise the 3 Church Mother Bodies to offer guidance
to the nation and desist from taking a partisan stance lest they be misunderstood

to be a political grouping with vested interests for regime change.

The  Head of State believes in engaging citizens on critical
national issues through
dialogue, and we do not expect every right –thinking and patriotic citizens to
engage him with selfish –driven agenda, or a scheme calculated to use dialogue  to wrestle power

from a democratically elected  Government.
We urge Zambian people to support President Lungu in his quest  to unite the nation  and advise UPND leader Hakainde
Hichilema to emulate the Republican President by committing
to dialogue without attaching any conditions.
