A 27-year-old housewife of Chipata Township in Kitwe has allegedly brutally killed her young sister using a beer bottle after she learnt that her young sister was having an extra-marital affair with her husband.
Police say that Misozi Kaunda stabbed her sister, Mary Kaunda aged 25, to death in a crime of passion as she suspected that her husband was sleeping with her.
Mary was stabbed in the neck and stomach and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The suspect’s husband, Brian Ngulube, 27, survived with injuries during the incident after he attempted to stop the incident.
The body of the deceased is in Kitwe Teaching Hospital mortuary awaiting postmortem.
