CHANODA Ngwira, a PF supporter and hencheman to Ronald Chitotela has emptied his heart of praise on the new tourism minister.

According to Ngwira, Chitotela is one of the best ministers in President Edgar Lungu’s cabinet.

Until a cabinet reshuffle last week, the Pambashe Constituency member of parliament was minister of housing and infrastructure development.

He has now replaced Charles Banda.

In his statement, Ngwira insisted Chitotela was a “great minister and an asset to Zambia.”

“One thing about Hon Chitotela is that he is what we may term as a fit in all individual. He simply is amazing in regards to doing anything at anytime wherever and whenever, and that doing of things is with excellency and to the point,” Ngwira claimed.

“Now I know why wherever he has stepped his feet, evidence is there, I mean evidence of good results. What a great asset we have in this man as a country. He is among the great ministers and leaders that President Lungu has who even with the most minimal supervision,
results are able to be attained!”

Ngwira further praised Chitotela sying; “He is a few days at Ministry of Tourism and Arts, however, if one who knows not this was to come and interact with him on issues of tourism, he or she may think the man has been at the ministry for decades, or may think he has worked at tourism [ministry] before and or has a MSC in Tourism. I mean the way he explains off the paper about tourism is amazing, out of this world. He simply is an amazing individual.”

While serving as housing and infrastructure development Chitotela had been nabbed by the Anti-Corruption Commission on corruption-related in February but was cleared by the Lusaka Magistrates’ Court a fortnight ago.

The ACC arrested Chitotela again in May on nine fresh charges but the matter is yet to brought to court.
