A MAN battling cancer was abandoned by his wife while doctors were examining him in his hospital bed.

MacDonald Banda who is battling skin cancer has an added burden of taking care of three children after his wife sneaked off and left him in hospital.
Mr Banda explains that his wife was sitting by his bedside when doctors came to examine him. She excused herself and went outside. She has never been seen since.

He describes the betrayal as heart wrenching especially after being told by her friend that his wife had thought he was dying and she did not want to be a widow.

Mr Banda who has also been left with a burden of looking after their three children, complained that life has not been easy from the time he was diagnosed with cancer four years ago because he is not able to provide for his family.
