August 9, 2019Zambian DNA is alive to President Edgar Lungu’s recent directive to the Disaster Management and Mitigation Unit (DMMU) that no Zambian should die from hunger. Indeed, President Lungu has continued with his countrywide tour of duty to get first-hand information on the hunger situation in some parts of the country. We are elated that the DMMU has religiously been following President’s directive by distributing food relief to all hunger–hit areas. Given President Lungu’s current intervention to mitigate the hunger situation in the country, we are confident that no-Zambian will die from hunger. However, we are wondering why some people are trying to gain cheap political mileage over an issue the Republican President has already addressed in his directive to the relevant authorities.Issued by: ZAMBIAN DNA SPOKESPERSON SPUKI MULEMWA
