Statement On Chishimba Kambwili’s Uncouth Language Against Pres. Lungu

August 30, 2019

We, a consortium of political parties and non-governmental organizations, strongly believe that Chishimba Kambiwili’s uncouth language against President Edgar Lungu demonstrates that he has lost his moral compass, and as such he is a bad example to the young people.

It’s most unfortunate that some section of society is defending his bad conduct and use of vulgar language against the Republican President.

However, we are not surprised by those defending Kambwili as they are birds of the same feathers that flock together.

As long as Kambwili and his disgruntled allies do not tone down, they will always face the consequences of their conduct.

We expect politicians, activists and media outlets to desist from insulting and bringing the name of the President into disrepute and public odium as such behavour is tantamount to insulting the collective intelligence of the Zambian people who gave President Lungu the mandate to govern.

Most of all, we are calling upon Zambians to rally behind President Lungu in solidarity of his good leadership qualities by defending him and standing up against those who habitually insult him as it’s totally unacceptable.
