Valden Findlay has instructed his lawyers to take necessary legal steps against Chishimba Kambwili over his   allegation that the business magnate is a drug lord.

Mr. Findlay, who spoke to journalists in Lusaka today through his spokesperson Daniel Phiri, said he had never engaged himself in any drug trafficking activities nor has he ever been arrested, prosecuted or convicted of any drug related offence.

And Mr. Phiri has denied the former Roan Member of Parliament’s  claims  that Mr. Findlay is holding President Edgar

According to Mr Phiri, Mr Findlay has never engaged in any form of state capture.

He stated that Mr. Findlay was a law abiding citizen who has conducted legitimate business in and outside the country in accordance with the law.

“In a Video footage aired live on Diamond Television on 9^th September 2019, Mr. Chishimba Kambwili made false and malicious allegations against Mr. Valden Findlay claiming, Inter Alia, that he had been arrested before on drug trafficking related offences.

Mr. Chishimba Kambwili further claimed that Mr. Valden Findlay had been cited is some proceedings in the United States of America on allegations that he was an associate of certain individuals accused of drug trafficking offences. Mr. Chishimba Kambwili further insinuated that Mr. Findlay had captured the presidency of the republic of Zambia,” Mr. Phiri quoted.

He added that it was in the view of the above malicious allegations made against Mr. Findlay, that he had instructed his lawyers to take necessary legal steps to address the said malicious allegations.
