The 2019-20 MTN/FAZ Super League Week 3 swings into action with SIX highly entertaining derbies on display this weekend.

LUSAKA
Nkwazi FC vs. Zanaco FC

The Policemen host the Bankers in the first of the two Lusaka derbies to be played at Nkoloma Stadium.
Zanaco are hoping to build on their 2-0 win over Green Eagles last week to brush aside a stubborn Nkwazi side as they push for a eighth league crown but have been hit some injury concerns that has striker Chitiya Mususu who has been confirmed unavailable for the fixture after limping out of their 2-1 Confederation Cup win over RB Bolton City YC in Mauritius while Roger Kola who also suffered injury in the continental match has passed a late fitness test and has been named in the matchday squad.
Zanaco will also be missing coach Numba Mumamba who is away with the Zambia CHAN team in eSwatini while Nkwazi will equally be without star striker Emmanuel Chabula who is also on national duty.

Red Arrows vs. Power Dynamos

The Airmen have enjoyed a flying start to their league campaign with two successive wins but this Saturday will face toughest challenge yet in the form of Kitwe giants Power Dynamos who have only lost once in their last four visits to the Nkoloma Stadium.

Buildcon FC vs. Forest Rangers

Team Kopala and Fole Malembe open matchday three in an early lunchtime kick off in a Ndola derby.
It is the fifth meeting between the two sides with Rangers being the most successful having won three of the four fixtures against Buildcon who have have only recorded one win which was a 1-0 win in the 2018 season.
Both sides will want to collect maximum points to climb up from their current positions on the table that has Buildcon sitting in 8th position with 3 points while Rangers are down in 14th position with only a pointed collected so far.

ZESCO United vs. Lumwana Radiants

Defending champions Zega Mambo shoot to the top of the log in midweek after sailing to a 3-0 victory over Nakambala Leopards in a rescheduled Week 2 that saw Kenyan striker Jesse Jackson Were steal the show as he bagged hat-trick and will be expected to continue their flying start to their title defence when they host pointless Lumwana Radiants who have lost both of their opening league fixtures.
CHOMA
Green Eagles vs. Nakambala Leopards
Independence Stadium – 15h00
Eagles are a depleted side heading into the Southern Province derby with coach Aggrey Chiyangi and key players in goalkeeper Sebastian Mwange, playmaker Amity Shamende and striker Tapson Kaseba away on national duty.
Leopards will be look to take advantage of the unavailability of the Kawale Boys’ key players and coach to collect their first points of the season after having record losses only thus far.
Meanwhile Saturday’s hosts,Eagles,who are also yet to win a match,will be under pressure from their home fans who will flock the the Independence Stadium hoping for victory.

Kabwe Youth Soccer Academy vs. Kabwe Warriors
The Central Province capital of Kabwe comes to a standstill this weekend as it witnesses it’s two biggest club sides face off in a local derby at the President’s Stadium.
Warriors almost went invicible last season and seem to have set that tone again this season as they are yet to lose in their two league fixtures.
They last week powered to a 1-0 home win over Nkwazi and will be confident as well as favourites to win on Saturday against KYSA who managed to collect their first point last week at Forest Rangers,will not let their neighbours snatch it without a challenge.
SOLWEZI
Kansanshi Dynamos vs. Green Buffaloes
The league debutants caused the biggest upset in Week One as they beat Power Dynamos 1-0 at home before falling to NAPSA Stars the following via a similar scoreline.
They will now be targeting another upset when they host Army sponsored Green Buffaloes recovered from their opening 2-0 loss to Nkana in Week One with a 1-0 home win over Mufulira Wanderers at home and will now target to come out of North-Western province with a win.

There is a staggering 21 league titles between these two old rivals that share the same sponsor in Mopani Copper Mines and they are two of the most supported clubs in the country.
However,the two legendary club sides have different agendas this season with hosts Kalampa chasing after a 13th title that has started on a light note with two back to back wins over Green Buffaloes (2-0) at home and Buildcon (1-0) away while Maite who are playing to avoid relegation,after losing both of their leagues fixtures.

The second Lusaka derby in Matchday three involves Elite Lusaka Dynamos who are coming from from a disappointing 2-0 away loss to Power Dynamos last week in Kitwe while NAPSA have began their campaign on high,picking up maximum points in both of their opening fixtures that includes 2-0 and 1-0 wins over Mufulira Wanderers and newly promoted Kansanshi Dynamos respectively.
The Pensioners will hope to continue with their fine run of form that has them sitting in 2nd position with 6 points and a better goal difference over Nkana and Red Arrows while Elite who have been unconvincing thus far,might also aim to push to up on the log.
