A MAN of Kabanana Township has sent his wife packing for accusing him of practising satanism. Peter Manda, 30, told the Matero Local Court that he cannot continue living with a woman who suspects him of practising satanism.
He said problems started when his wife started telling him that his business is not genuine following a series of bad dreams she had. Manda was testifying in a case in which he sued Misozi for divorce. The pair got married in 2012 and have two children together.
“Problems started when my wife told me that she dreamt that I’m into satanism and my business is not genuine. Misozi also told me that she has been dreaming about snakes,” said Manda. Manda told the court that his wife left home and went to stay with her pastor. He told the court that Misozi also started suspecting his niece of being a satanist after she dreamt that she was biting her leg. “Why should she continue staying with a satanist? I told her to leave my house.
There is no need for her to continue eating blood money,” Peter said. But Misozi in her defence told the court that Manda has been against the idea of her going to church. She told the court that her husband at one time told her that the pastor at the church she goes to was supposed to die.
“My husband has been chasing me from our matrimonial home since we came here for marriage reconciliation some time back. He locks me outside when going for work,” Misozi said. In passing judgment, Magistrate Pauline Newa, sitting with Harriet Mulenga, granted divorce.
