The Golden Party (GP) has commended the PF Government for their recent stance on the prospects of mining in the Lower Zambezi that were supposed to be embarked on against the will of many Zambians and various stake holders.

Party Secretary General Daniel Kapungwe says the statement by the Minister of Tourism, Mr. Ronald Chitotela to withdrawal intentions of mining in the said area is elating as it is hearkening to the cries of most stakeholders and particularly the Zambian people.

Meanwhile Mr. Kapungwe has commended government for decision to revert the operations of markets and bus stations from political cadres to local councils as it will enhance operations of the councils.
