Boy Nabbed For Writing G12 Exam For Another Pupil

A SEVENTEEN-YEAR-OLD boy has been detained by police in Mpika for attempting
to write grade 12 examination on behalf of a pupil.

Mulenga Nkonde of Katibunga village was detained for writing examinations on behalf of Ernest Chama of Mpika Boys Secondary School.

Mr Nkonde attempted to write mathematics and biology papers for Mr Chama, a pupil
under the Academic Production Unit (APU).
It was believed that the suspect managed to acquire an identity card bearing his face while the details were for Mr Chama.

Muchinga police Commissioner Joel Njase
confirmed the incident that occurred on Friday.
Mr Njase said the suspect managed to write mathematics paper one and was only caught
when he atempted to write the mathematics paper two.

“We have detained a boy aged 17 for examination malpractice. He wrote examinations for another person. He impersonated Ernest Chama and wrote
mathematic examination paper one,” he said.

He said Mr Chama who hired the suspect to write for him was on the run and that investigations.
