Some PF youths in Kitwe led by a named party official this morning attempted to lock up Kitwe district commissioner Binwell Mpundu’s office for unknown reasons.
The attempt was however thwarted by alert Police Officers and the DC’s office security that dispersed the unruly youths who hurled insults before leaving the premises.
And confirming the development, Kitwe District Commissioner Binwell Mpundu described the act as unfortunate and disturbing.
He said he has learnt that the Youths were working on instructions from some Senior PF officials who are claiming that he masterminded the incident last week were some Youths embarrassed Nkana MP Alexander Chiteme by rejecting his empowerment programmes.
Mr Mpundu however affirmed that this incident will not deter him from executing his duties.
