Daka Nets first UEFA Champions League Goal

ZAMBIAN striker Patson Daka netted his debut UEFA Champions League goal on the night as his countryman Enock Mwepu provided two assists.

Daka opened the score on 43 minutes racing into the history books as he became the first Zambian player to score in the UEFA Champions League after it was changed from the European Cup in 1992.

Daka’s goal opened the floodgates for Red Bull Salzburg who ran away 4-1 winners away to Belgian side Genk in a Group E clash.

Mwepu who put in a 90 minute shift weighed in with two assists in the 45th for Minamino’s goal and 87th for Braut Halaand’s clincher.

Red Bull will face Group E leaders Liverpool on December 10 at the Red Bull Arena in their final match with victory over the European champions propelling them to the knockout stages.
