Lusaka, 3rd January, 2020 – The Teaching Council of Zambia wishes to inform all the teachers that Practicing Certificates (Licences) have been processed and distribution has since commenced.
The distribution of the Licences started with Lusaka and Copper belt Provinces. The teams have now moved to Eastern, Central and Muchinga provinces.
The practicing certificates( licenses) will be issued out by TCZ Focal point persons at DEBs offices except for Lusaka. Lusaka province, Licenses must collected from the TCZ Jesmondine office on Mwambula road.
During the distribution exercise, TCZ will also be receiving application forms from new applicants, verifying TCZ numbers, distributing the Code of Ethics for the Teaching Profession and offering any other TCZ services.
It has been noted that some pictures submitted are of poor quality. To this effect, phone text messages will be sent to affected applicants for immediate resubmission. Resubmission of photos must be done online.
TCZ wishes to urge registered teachers that have not yet applied for practising certificates (licenses) to immediately do so, as unlicensed teachers shall not *be* allowed to practice in any educational institution, whether public or private.
Furthermore, we wish to remind Educational Administrators to ensure that all staff are registered and consequently licensed as they will not be allowed to interface with learners if they don’t have the Teacher Registration certificate and the Practicing Certificate (License).
