Minister of Mines Richard Musukwa has warned Chambishi Metals against blackmailing government by retrenching its work force.

He states that Chambishi mines should not use the profit margin as an excuse and blackmail government on the said issue

Mr. Musukwa says an audit committee will soon be instituted to ensure that the complaints of failure to import stock feed are by mining company are genuine.

229 miners at Chambishi Metals are faced with retrenchment after the mine was put in care and maintenance due to the luck of Feedstock at the mine which is imported from Congo which comes at a 5% duty.
