Wife Claims Hubby Wants To Marry 10 Women

AHUSBAND of Bulangililo Township has won the freedom to fulfil his dream to marry 10 wives to defeat the record of his father who had seven wives. This is after the Bulangililo Local Court granted Mweemba Ngwendenda divorce for allegedly mistreating his wife after he married two women. Angelina Matope sued her husband Ngwendenda for divorce on grounds that he no longer cares about her.

Matope complained bitterly before the court that her husband has no respect for her to the extent that he informed her that he would marry 10 more wives. She said her husband has so far married two women out of his target and that he no longer considers her to be his wife. Matope said her husband spends more time with his two new wives, leaving her unattended to.

“My husband has vowed to marry ten women so that he can out beat his father who had seven wives, this scares me because he already does not value me after marrying his two wives,” she said. Matope said she has spent the last two years without enjoying conjugal rights because her husband no longer visits her. She also complained that her husband accuses her of being a prostitute. Ngwendenda refuted his wife’s allegations and accused her of being the one that advised him to marry 10 women.

He said his wife told him that she was not going to manage to take care of his needs hence the reason she advised him to marry 10 more women. Ngwendenda however complained that he cannot manage to marry the 10 women and asked the court to grant them divorce because his wife has made up her mind to leave him. Bulangililo senior local court magistrate Kambole Nyoni granted the couple divorce and ordered Ngwendenda to compensate his wife with K7000 in K300 monthly instalments
