National Democratic Congress (NDC) Leader Chishimba Kambwili has condemned Chief Government spokesperson Dora Siliya’s statement on extra judicial killings in which she allegedly stated that it is better to shot a (suspected) person to maintain law and order.

Dr. Kambwili says no one has the right to take away the life of another person in a democratic State.

He has urged police officers to endeavour to protect lives and not use live ammunition.

Dr Kambwili said this shortly after he appeared before Magistrate Lameck Mwale in a matter he is accused of defaming President Edgar Lungu.
