IMF, World Bank Call For Suspension Of Payments

The International Monetary Fund and the World Bank have urged all bilateral creditors to IDA countries to consider suspending debt payments by countries affected by the coronavirus.

This move is meant to allow highly indebted countries affected by the coronavirus to channel resources to their domestic economic challenges.

The two cooperating partners will be waiting for instructions from the G20 countries to identify and assess highly indebted countries.
